Coleg Gwent’s Equestrian Centre at our Usk Campus regularly runs equine events and is also available for hire. Regular events include unaffiliated dressage and show jumping for all ages and abilities. Events take place throughout the year and are open to the public.

Equestrian Centre Facilities
Our purpose-built indoor (54m x 30m) and outdoor (40m x 60m) arenas are available for hire by groups or individuals, offering state of the art, all weather surfaces.
We have available for hire a full course of Jump4Joy show jumps, along with a modest course of arena XC fences.
Additionally, competition equipment can be hired by prior arrangement, subject to availability.
The Equestrian Centre is open Monday-Friday, 9-5pm.
Hire Charges Effective from 1st January 2025
All arena hire includes use of jumps and/ or dressage boards and markers.

Please note a £25 clean up charge for each area will be made should the facilities not be left in a reasonable clean and tidy condition after use.
Hire Times
Please note the following hire sessions are subject to availability.
Monday – Thursday
The arenas are available for hire between 4:30pm – 8pm, and the premises must be vacated by 8:30pm.
Friday
The arenas are available for hire between 4:30pm – 5:30pm, and the premises must be vacated by 6pm.
Saturday and Sunday
The arenas are available for hire between 8am – 5pm.
The latest session for hourly hire is between 4pm – 5pm.
The premises must be vacated by 5:30pm.
Times outside of the above may be arranged following discussion, however additional costs will be incurred.
Equine Vaccination Policy
All visiting horses must be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza and horse passports made available for inspection.
