January has arrived and 2022 has got off to a flying start at Coleg Gwent. We have a range of exciting courses starting this January at your local campus, with fantastic opportunities to learn something new this year.

It’s been another fantastic year of WorldSkills UK competitions and results for Team Wales, with Coleg Gwent learners winning Gold, Silver, Bronze and Highly Commended across a range of skills competitions! 

Business student Hannaliese has ambitions to make it in the professional world and has already secured herself a successful summer placement with the help of the CG Ambitions team.

This year, 29 inspirational Coleg Gwent learners have made it through to the finals of WorldSkills UK, competing against learners from colleges across the country this November. 

Every year, hundreds of adult learners join Coleg Gwent to change their story through free and flexible courses. This Adult Learners Week, we met some of our mature students to hear their stories and find out why they joined Coleg Gwent this September.

Once again this year, we’re celebrating our learners who have come out on top with outstanding A Level, vocational and BTEC results. We’ve seen the best A* - C grades ever, with a 4.6% increase in A*/A grades and several learners successfully securing places at Cambridge University in September!
