Starting college this September? We can’t wait to see you for enrolment and Freshers Week soon. But to help you prepare in the meantime, here’s what you need to know about college life and what makes it different to school.

Education is a lifelong journey. It’s never too late to learn a new skill, pursue a passion, follow a dream, or explore a completely different avenue for your career, and Access to HE Diploma courses are your pathway to a degree.

Here at Coleg Gwent, we know that our college is made up of lots of different people, and work hard to create safe environments which suit the needs of our Autistic learners and staff.

Learners from Sport and Public Services at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone have recently embarked on a Global Citizenship Programme to Nepal. They’ll be working with the FutureSense Foundation and its local teams to support rural, disadvantaged communities.

At Coleg Gwent, we’re proud to be progressive and continually challenging gender stereotypes. That’s why this International Women’s Day, we’re taking the opportunity to celebrate some of our wonderful female members of staff who work in traditionally male dominated industries.

Music, Maestro! Meet the BGLZ Rock School! The Rock School is a music programme aimed to push the music students’ song writing along with getting them out into the wider community. It works alongside their main music course, developing on their composition and live performance units.
