On 22nd June, we held our annual learner awards event – a celebration of all our inspirational learners and their achievements. As the academic year draws to a close, we took the opportunity to celebrate our learners’ dedication to their studies with inspiring Welsh sports presenter, Jason Mohammad.

We recently celebrated a successful launch event for our new state of the art Cyber Hub at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone in Ebbw Vale. The Cyber Hub has been launched as part of Cyber College Cymru; a programme designed to help prepare you for a career in cyber security

Independent Living Skills (ILS) learners at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone could certainly give Alan Sugar something to talk about with their latest enterprise, a pop-up charity retail shop in support of St David’s Hospice Care!

Earlier this term, Cardiff Metropolitan University hosted a group of our Applied Science students for a full food science experience day at their ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre, gaining an insight into the degree options and career pathways available within the food science and nutrition sector.

This academic year has been a huge success for our female rugby and netball academies. The teams have excelled in their tournaments and competitions, coming out on top with a list of accolades and achievements this season.

Our Health and Social Care learners are the latest to be at the receiving end of some exciting new technology as part of their studies – augmented reality. Through a series of specially designed videos, learners can get up close to a range of care settings, preparing them for their work placements.
