Home to over 200 animals including reptiles, mammals, birds and invertebrates, our animal care centre at Usk Campus has recently undergone a huge renovation, welcoming some exciting new residents.

Our Employer Engagement department were delighted to sponsor the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s South Wales Argus Business Awards, which took place on Thursday 24th November.

This year, we've celebrated our best results ever in the WorldSkills UK finals. Not only did we climb into the top three in the UK for both mainstream and foundation competitions, but we’re also now the best performing college in Wales, with 11 skills champions who scooped gold, silver, bronze and highly commended medals. We’re proud to announce that Coleg Gwent is a finalist in the prestigious AoC Beacon Awards 2022. The awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK further education colleges, and our Cyber College Cymru initiative was nominated for the Edge Award for Excellence in Real World Learning.
