Health and Social Care learner, Casey, jumped at the chance to gain extra knowledge and experience through Mind Matters - a project that supports the mental health and wellbeing of young people through a volunteer training programme.

By working with local businesses, we find a variety of ways to benefit both their organisation and our students, like our recent collaboration with Loopster, an up and coming second hand clothing company.

Student volunteers working on the wards as part of the befriending service has helped to combat loneliness during the COVID pandemic this through the use of digital technology.

We’re proud to have a strong connection with local employers at Coleg Gwent. We’re heading into 2021 with a new employer-led way of working and we recently collaborated with the innovative Tin Can Kitchen which was a great success!
