City & Guilds Award in Education and Training Level 3

In a nutshell

The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by teachers/trainers in the further education and training skills sector. The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is not a teaching qualification - it is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching/training sessions and how to assess and give constructive and developmental feedback.

Ideal for candidates who work, or want to work as teachers/trainers in the further education and skills sector, or those who require a formal training qualification.

Course content

Learners can expect to cover a range of theories, policies and procedures designed to give an introduction into teaching in the FE and skills sector. Modules include:

• Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
• Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
• Understanding assessment in education and training

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Additional information

This qualification is delivered on an employer’s site for a group of their employees, not on campus for individuals to attend. Delivery dates are agreed in advance with the employer.

The three modules are delivered over six days. A formal quote can be issued once we understand your training need but as a guide, we charge £5,250 (includes all training, feedback and marking) plus additional awarding body fees (circa £71 per learner).
