What will I be doing?
This course follows on from the Level 2 Accident Repair (Paint Principles) full-time course and focuses on 3 main units:
- Vehicle Paint Colour Matching
- Vehicle Top Coat Refinishing Operations
- Advanced Paint Defects
This course is delivered through a blend of the following:
- Practical demonstrations
- Realistic working tasks
- Lectures to develop foundation knowledge
- Assignment work
You will be assessed via practical and online assessments, oral and written questions, and upon completion you will achieve:
- Level 3 Accident Repair (Paint Principles)
- Appropriate supporting qualifications to broaden your skill set and meet the needs of the industry
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
What is expected of me?
- Successful completion of Level 2 Accident Repair (Paint Principles)
- 4 GCSEs grade D or above, to include Maths, English and Science (or Welsh as a first language)
What comes next?
Employment in the Automotive industry or an Apprenticeship in Vehicle Body Repair.
Additional information
You will need Personal Protective Equipment, such as boots and overalls, at a cost of approximately £40.00. You will also need to supply your own stationery.
