What will I be doing?

By completing this Full Stack Development bootcamp, learners will develop:

  • Knowledge and skills in the design, development and testing of code solutions to problems
  • Competence in the application of frameworks and code libraries to optimise the production and testing of code solutions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems for storing data and acquire skills in accessing and integrating data from various sources.
  • An understanding of the characteristics of user interfaces and implement solutions that meet user requirements.
  • Competence in the deployment of secure web-based information systems.
  • Specialist competencies in the implementation of software development solutions.
  • The skills needed for employment in a software development role at a professional level through dedicated, immersive career content.
  • Awareness of the business context when developing and marketing a software application.

What is expected of me?

Complete the Code Institute three-stage initial assessment process

  • Coding Challenge
  • Personal Statement (~300 words outlining your reasons for taking the course)
  • Admissions Interview

This is a life-changing opportunity for those with little or limited technical experience.

Anyone doing the course will need to be able to commit to a full-time programme of study of 35hrs per week for 16 weeks.

Additional information

This programme is offered in partnership with Code Institution and learners will need to complete a two-stage enrolment process to meet the criteria. Information will also be shared between both organisations. Learners will need to click to enrol with Coleg Gwent and also register interest with Code Institution to complete the three-stage initial assessment process directly with Code Institution.
