In a nutshell

A beginner’s guide to using Ableton Live and Rekord box DJ software. This course is a stepping stone to developing some basic music production and DJ skills.

Lessons include beat matching with Rekordbox, live looping and composition with Ableton live. Learn how to edit and produce your own beats, understanding basic effects and music production techniques.

Course content

Ableton: Music Production

Looking at the use of MIDI/Audio within Ableton suite. Developing music production skills within Ableton and looking at composition using the Push 2.

Rekordbox:

DJ basics and beat matching. Using Rekordbox and preparing tracks to beat match. Use of DDJ and learning how to use effects live and blending different musical elements for one creative mix.
