With a practical focus, our level 1, 2, 3, and 4 sports and fitness courses will set you up for success. We encourage participation in a range of sports at all campuses, including rugby, football, netball, basketball, hockey and more. You’ll even have access to local leisure centres, gyms, trampoline parks, indoor climbing centres and Bike Park Wales for practical activities, and opportunities to enter the AoC (Association of Colleges) championships.
Crosskeys Campus is home to the Newport Gwent Dragons Junior Academy where players gain qualifications alongside their rugby training and take part in a range of leagues and tournaments. The Girls’ Dragons Academy is offered at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone in collaboration with Crosskeys Campus, while at Torfaen Learning Zone, sport is offered in partnership with Cwmbran Stadium.

Every Monday and Friday, we go to Cwmbran Stadium for the practical side of the course. We use the Astroturf for football, a track for speed gates, and equipment in the gym and swimming pool. I also enjoy anatomy and physiology lessons and learning how the bones and muscles work.
